Sound Stages
We have one of the largest studio facilities in Europe with a total of 21 sound stages with 300,000 sq ft floor space spread across a 42-acre lot thereby offering optimal production conditions for film, TV and commercial productions.
The scope is unique and ranges from the sound stage complex Neue Film 2 with its 90,000 sq ft and the historical Marlene-Dietrich-Halle with 60,000 sq ft to a modern TV stage complex, ideal for long-running formats, series and daily soaps (Tonkreuz). Studio Babelsberg also offers Germany’s largest water tank for underwater and action shoots as well as a true to original mock-up of the Berlin S- and U-Bahn convertible into any suburban train.
All sound stages conform to the current state of technology and can be equipped individually and project-based with additional systems.
Directly adjoining offices as well as rooms for production, make-up and wardrobe guarantee short distances and a maximum in efficiency. In addition, we also offer over 9 acres of generous open space and flexible backlots for your film shoot.
