Studio Babelsberg’s involvement as co-producer for upcoming national and international productions is a rapidly growing branch of the studio’s business.
Living true to our motto “Act Global, Spend Local”, Studio Babelsberg invests reference-subsidy, awarded for its involvement on international block-busters, in smaller German and European productions.
Recently, the studio has been co-producing Roman Polanski's The Ghost Writer and Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds.
Studio Babelsberg is furthermore co-producer of the following international motion pictures: The Reader with Kate Winslet, The International by Tom Tykwer, Valkyrie with Tom Cruise, Machan by Uberto Pasolini and the Warner Bros. productions Speed Racer and Ninja Assassin by the Wachowski brothers.
