It’s fantastic that the world premiere of The Grand Budapest Hotel will take place at the Berlinale. The collaboration with Wes Anderson and his team was unique and we are very proud of the film.

Christoph Fisser, COO of Studio Babelsberg and co-producer:
“It’s fantastic that the world premiere of The Grand Budapest Hotel will take place at the Berlinale. The collaboration with Wes Anderson and his team was unique and we are very proud of the film. Our film crew and set construction team have turned Anderson’s visions and ideas into reality, in particular the film sets with attention to detail and elaborate production design. With the art nouveau department store in Görlitz, built in 1913, we found the perfect backdrop for the main hotel set. The Berlinale audience can look forward to a great film with many stars”.
The Grand Budapest Hotel is a UK-German co-production, produced by Grand Budapest Limited (UK) and Studio Babelsberg (Germany). Wes Anderson, Scott Rudin, Steven M.
